Guide to use of rolled sections
Why choose Mirawall
Applications
Mirawall's main competition can be narrowed down into two types of product:

a) Rolled composites: a plastic core 3-5 mm thick, plated with aluminium foil (0.5 mm) painted using the continuous liquid coating process;

b) Bare sheet aluminium, 2-3 mm thick, coated with paint applied after the panels' fabrication.

MIRAWALL'S ADVANTAGES OVER ROLLED COMPOSITES:

- Mirawall is perfectly flat. Flatness was a point in the composites' favour until the rolling-mills found a way to roll aluminium with the greater thickness required for panels. Modern plants can now level aluminium up to 3 mm thick to produce a perfectly flat panel.
- Paint on Mirawall is 2-3 times thicker than that applied on rolled composites, and it doesn't crack or grow too thin on bends, and also boasts excellent results once panels are in place.
- Mirawall is a "A1" class material with low flame spread, whilst the same cannot be said for rolled composites, which have a plastic core that reacts to the stimulus of fire.
- Mirawall is even easier to work because bending doesn't involve milling, whilst this is an essential requirement for composites, which also require riveting.
- Since Mirawall is made from solid aluminium, it allows for complete off-cut recycling, eliminating the cost of disposal.
It is 100% recyclable.
- Mirawall comes in a wider, virtually unlimited range of colours.
- Mirawall has a more competitive price than common composites.

MIRAWALL'S ADVANTAGES OVER POST-PAINTED ROLLED SHEETS:

- Mirawall's extra-thick coat of paint means metal is covered even on the edges of cuts, so that it has no problem withstanding the stress of bending.
- Pre-painting is less costly than post-painting.
- Quicker processing and assembly processes since Mirawall actually comes ready made and painted.
- Mirawall's considerable thickness (3 mm) provides excellent rigidity.
- More even appearance.
- Mirawall sections have a protective film applied to prevent possible damage during processing.
